The past couple of weeks have been been busy with friends in town, some bursts of sun, and life as a big brother....

Way Too Long...

OK, I have been a horrible mama and have been away from this blog for way too long. Almost a year. Let's just say that I was busy (and exhausted) from being pregnant, and could barely manage the necessities in life. And apparently Finn's blog was not a necessity (sorry Finn). Now, looking back at the last posts, tears are welling up in my eyes because he seems so tiny....11 months isn't that long, but it is sure long enough for your little baby to grow into a boy.....

So, I don't think I have the patience to relive my last 11 months (plus, the pregnancy sort of zapped the desire to take many photos anyways) but here is an update from the past couple of months. I promise I will return more often.

On March 1, Finn became a big brother to his little sister Phoebe (whom he called Grasser until the day she was born). He has been very sweet with her so far.....

I am sure they will be the best of friends!

Our other big news is that Finn shaved his head. Why, you may ask? Well, he ended up getting lice, and after realizing that 3 year old boys are not good at sitting still for several hours at a time (even with the tv on), I convinced him to buzz his head. He says he misses his long hair, but he is OK with it. I think it makes him look even older, which is sort of freaking me out. Oh well. It's just hair and eventually it will grow back.

First Carnival Ride

Oops! I forgot to include this with my last post.... Finn's first carnival ride from last weekend. As you can tell, it wasn't his favorite thing.

June Days

Summer is just around the corner and the weather here has still been sporadic. Thankfully, today we had some much needed sun and had a chance to spend a bit of time outside!
Here is what we have been up to the past week.....

Eating snap peas from our garden,

And taking rides in the new red wagon!

Wishing for Spring

Spring has been a tease around here this year, with a few days of wonderful sunny weather followed by cold and rain. So we are eagerly awaiting the REAL spring and trying to be outside as much as possible.
It has been awhile since I posted last, so here are some shots from the past month. Finn sure is growing up quick.. in fact, lately, I have been feeling like I am raising a teenager because he refuses to do anything I ask! I am hoping it is just a stage...

Spring Finn

It's spring (hooray!) and we have been spending a lot of time outside enjoying the not-as-rainy weather.

Finn has been helping us in the garden....

And we have been taking lots of strolls around the neighborhood to see how much everything is changing!

The new ducks are a constant source of entertainment, although they are still scared of us...

We like to collect things on our walks.

And stop to smell the flowers of course!

But nothing beats a good tickling!!
